What we are trying to be
A practice where you understand what is happening to your teeth and why, and where nobody is trying to sell you something you did not come in for.
That mostly shows up in unglamorous ways. Appointments long enough that you are not being rushed out. Options explained in order, cheapest and least invasive first. A written plan you can take away and think about. Being told when the right answer is to leave something alone and watch it.
We look after a lot of families here, often several generations of the same one, and quite a few people who had a bad experience somewhere else and took a while to come back. Both of those shape how the place runs.
If you are nervous about dentists
This is worth saying plainly, because it is the single most common reason people put off coming in, and because most practices say nothing about it at all.
Tell reception when you book. It is not an embarrassing thing to say and it is not a special request. It changes how long the appointment is, how it is paced and how much gets explained before anything happens.
At the appointment, agree a signal for stop, usually a raised hand, and use it. Being able to stop something is most of what makes it bearable. Nobody here will make you feel awkward about how long it has been since you last came.
